Kotor- Island “Our Lady of the Rocks” – Old baroque town Perast – Kotor
40min boat ride with panoramic view of the Boka Bay
20min visit of the island “Our lady of the Rocks”
60min visit of the old baroque town Perast
The church Our Lady of the Rocks is located at the same named island which is located in bay of Boka bay across the beautiful small and peaceful town Perast. This church was raised in 1630 on an artificial island, which was built by fishermen from Perast.
According to a legend these fishermen after the shipwreck found on a sea rock an icon of Holy Mother of God with Christ and vowed that right on that spot where the icon was found they will build a church, which will be dedicated to this icon of the Holy Mother of God, protector of sailors and fishermen. That is one of the reasons why you’ll see more than 2000 silver plaques dedicated by local sailors and their family. The most precious gift that was ever given to the church is embroidery by a women named Jacinta Kunic which she did with her own hair for 25 years while waiting for her husband to come back.

After coming to our location(or getting picked up) our manager will proceed you to your boat and our skippers would be your tour guides and guardian angels for the next 3 hours. Our first stop is artficial Island called “Lady of the Rocks”. The church Our Lady of the Rocks is located at the same named island which is located in bay of Boka bay across the beautiful small and peaceful town Perast. This church was raised in 1630 on an artificial island, which was built by fishermen from Perast.

Many historical ornaments and the story itself makes this island the most visited in Montenegro. There you will have 20 minutes free to explore it and take some beautiful pictures and memories. Next on we will stop for a photo pause and explanation in Former Yugoslavian “Submarine Base”. It was used during the wars to hide submarines from the enemies. The former most secret place in Yugoslavia is now the most visited place in Montenegro. Our third location which is only possible to see by the boat since it is private resort now is a former prison island called “Mamula”.
This island, which is devoted to historical events, is located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, between Herceg Novi and Luštica. The fortress was built in the middle of the 19th century by Austro-Hungarian general Lazar Mamula. During the First and Second World War, the fortress was used as a prison, mostly for the ones who can’t swim so they can’t escape. Last but not least… the Blue Cave- the most beautiful natural phenomenon on the Montenegrin coast. This natural cave with a ceiling of 9 meters above sea level, takes the breath away to anyone who visits it. Through the incoming sunlight it enters its interior, and wraps around the surface of the water creating large shades of blue color by which the cave got its name. Here you will have 30minutes pause for swimming, taking photos or leisure.
NOTES: Since this is a private tour, you have the right to change the course of the route and also duration.

EXCELLENT Based on 97 reviews LizziebirdV2024-08-26Verified Stunning coastline from Kotor to the Blue Caves! My family and I booked the Blue Cave 3 hour tour with Dejana Stojanović on 15th August 2024 as part of our Marella Explorer (Tui Explorer) Adriatic cruise and I'm so glad we did! As we walked around the corner from the dock, literally 3 minutes away, we received a warm personal greeting by name from Dejana. There were 11 of us from the Explorer on the tour. Our captain was friendly, helped us on and off and gave us plenty of information throughout our tour. We visited an old submarine base, the stunning blue caves, did a close up of Perast and a stop at Our Lady of the Rocks. We swam in the beautiful sea just outside the caves but you can also swim inside the cave, not sure why we chose not to now!Dejana's customer service is excellent; her message response times are quick, we had all the info emailed prior to leaving the UK, no upfront payment, she also has a very good knowledge of how cruise ships work and as we had tendered that day explained what we needed to do to get an early tender which was so useful as TUI weren't as helpful initially as I had hoped on this point. In short, I would absolutely recommend Dejana to anyone travelling to Kotor and wishing to see the sights. Here's the lovely lady herself. Thank you Dejana and your team 😘 Els2024-08-13Verified Absolutely Brilliant - highly recommend We hopped off the Marella cruise ship and straight round the corner to a lovely warm welcome from Dejana who recognised me and used my name just through our chats on here! We had the most wonderful few hours in the submarine tunnels, blue caves and visiting the island. The scenery around was stunning and nothing was too much trouble. There were five of us and we had a private tour. The teenage boys loved it so much. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone and would happily do it again when we go back to Kotor! One piece of advice would be to go early as the caves get busy x Jennifer W2024-08-05Verified Kotor is Magical!!! My friends and I had the most magical time in Kotor thanks to Dejana and her “skipper!” We were originally scheduled for a group tour and then we added a friend and they suggested we do a private tour and it was the best decision we made! They were kind and helpful in planning and gave us a truly memorable experience! If you’re looking for a boat tour, I would definitely recommend! Looplise2024-07-23Verified Best blue cave tour in Kotor Did the blue cave tour last week while sailing with NCL and it was the best excursion we've been on. Dejana was patient in answering any questions we had (prior and during) as we were traveling with two small kids (8 and 11), provided recommendations on how we could explore Kotor while considering our cruise limitations and in general so so kind. Highly recommend, especially if you're traveling by cruise and concerned about timing - Dejana will recommend the most plausible options! Kate H2024-07-21Verified Wonderful family run company Excellent tour and could not do enough for us. Jane and family always helpful and i use them every time i come. Friends said best day in montenegro..... Darren W2024-07-20Verified The best boat experience! Absolutely superb. 4 of us paid extra to go for the private tour and it was so worth it. 3 hours of exhilarating fun and such a friendly skipper and a lovely host at the start. Highly recommend! Adriana V2024-06-30Verified Kotor Bay Speed Boat Tour with Family We recently took a speed boat tour of Kotor Bay, and it was an unforgettable experience for our family of five, including two teenagers and our 9-year-old daughter. From start to finish, the tour exceeded our expectations. The highlight was the thrilling speed boat ride itself. Our kids were ecstatic with the fast-paced adventure, and it added an exciting twist to our sightseeing. The boat was comfortable and well-maintained, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride. Our customized itinerary was perfect. We first visited the charming town of Perast, where we explored its historic streets and marveled at the stunning architecture. The real gem was our stop at the Lady of the Rocks. The small, picturesque island and its church were breathtaking, and the stories behind its creation added a fascinating layer to our visit. One of the most memorable parts of the tour was swimming near the Perast coast. The crystal-clear waters were incredibly inviting, and our children had a blast diving in and enjoying the refreshing swim. It was a fantastic way to break up the day and cool off in the warm weather.Another great aspect of the tour was the convenience. They picked us up directly from our hotel, making the entire experience hassle-free. From the moment we left our room, we had nothing to worry about.Overall, the combination of a thrilling speed boat ride, beautiful destinations, and a well-planned itinerary made this tour an absolute winner for our family. The experience was both fun and educational, and we left with lasting memories. Highly recommended for families looking for an adventurous yet culturally enriching experience in Kotor Bay! TK19572024-06-13Verified Brilliant experience at reasonable cost Went on speed boat trip yesterday. What a brilliant experience! Had a 3 hour trip from Kotor right out to the Blue Caves, with Dejanas father as our Skipper. He was absolutely brilliant. We all had a fabulous time and would live to do it again. All of this fir just €40 each. Very well worth it. Betty2024-06-09Verified Do it! My family disembarked on the cruise ship very late. However, Dejana was able to hold the boat for us so that we could explore the amazing coastline of Kotor. The group that joined us was Italian and despite the language barrier, we had an amazing time together. We saw all the highlights along the way. Dejana was so communicative in booking the excursion. Her dad was the captain of the boat and able to express his love of the land. Two thumbs up! Jeff L2024-06-06Verified What a Fun Day! We had 4 couples from our cruise ship on their motor boat to experience this day tour - plenty of room for the 8 of us. We had a great time with Dejana's dad (don't remember his real name, I'll just call him "Pop") as our boat captain and tour guide. We saw some beautiful sights, but unfortunately the open water was a little too rough to make it to the Blue Cave (a group decision) so we turned back. We did enjoy the other stops at the submarine tunnels, the island with the church, and then Dejana's dad took us to a great little restaurant for a lunch of fresh mussels, oysters, and prawns. The hospitality was awesome and "Pop" was a lot of fun! Also, Dejana did an excellent job communicating with my wife during the planning and booking stages of this excursion. We would highly recommend this family business for a great day tour.
